We had a magical moment during or stay at the charming KariKari Lodge-we were sitting out on the lanai. Dusk had fallen. Katalina had turned on the fairy lights. I felt a woosh of feathers around my head. A small wee Ruru had flown into the lanai (perhaps in search of tasty insects attracted by the light) we watched the RuRu (Morepork) fly up , sit on the fence post. He sat there for 10 minutes and then flew off into the night. It was a memory I will treasure forever-Thank you to Katalina and Paul for sharing their magical spot with us.❤️
