I’ve loved staying at the Karikari Lodge. The experience is genuine & it feels like it’s home away from home. I travel to the FFN for work, and I always stay with Paul & Katalina at the lodge. They are great hosts & am forever grateful. I highly recommend this beautiful place. You will not be disappointed.

I stayed at Karikari Lodge for a few days to attend my sister’s wedding at Carrington, it was a great base of operations as I travelled and caught up with family. Paul and Katalina were lovely hosts and great company, the lodge is such a relaxing and beautiful place to rest! Even had a beverage as I sat in the jacuzzi watching out over the picturesque bay in the distance, perfect!

What an amazing trip, tip of North Island to Dunedin on extreme south end of South Island. I thought Canada had scenery but I was humbled by what I saw in New Zealand diverse beauty and hospitality. One of our fondest memories is of our stay at Karikari Lodge. Paul and Kathlina were incredible hosts with great accommodation options. They helped make our Northern visit remarkable. We hired a fellow to takes us for a drive on Ninety Mile beach, collected Tuatua’s and had them with fresh Swordfish for lunch. Drove up a creek bed into the sand dunes on our way to Cape Reinga. Here we could see the meeting point of the Pacific Ocean and the Tasmin Sea.
So many great memories and Paul and Katlian you helped us make them. Thank you, Neil

We had a very enjoyable stay in the house at Karikari Lodge some time ago. Having such good memories of that time when a family wedding came up at Rangiputa we booked the cabin for the two of us.
Your always so well looked after by Paul and Katalina they make you feel so welcome like your part of the family.
The wedding was fantastic the accomodation so nice to come back to at the end of the evening.
Highly recommend the lodge look forward to our next trip North.

It was a wonderful experience to stay at Karikari. And thank you Katalina for your dessert, it did warm me up during my solo journey. She patiently told me about restaurant, liquor shop, gas station and dairy nearby. I didn’t take pictures cus I was immersed too much in enjoying myself in the house. Katalina provided me everything such as towels, milk, fruits, yogurt. I traveled by myself because of my mental illness last month and she cured me I would say. I will go to see you again, definitely, and please let me see Paul next time. I’ve got gifts for you. Sorry my English sucks, but love you, and I love this place.

Thank you to Paul and Katarina for being so welcoming and making my stay so memorable. I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in the cottage where every amenity was provided for a self catering traveller.

Wonderful hosts Katalina and Paul! Set us up nicely, very accommodating as we needed a early check in when we arrived. Easy access to the cabin, private with access to the spa pool. Stunning views from the porch, serene and peaceful. Someone mentioned seeing cows in the paddock, I didn’t see this time maybe next time but I caught a glimpse of a couple of young cats playing around in the long grass. We definitely enjoyed our stay here, and will be back again in the future.

Our anniversary celebration at Karikari Lodge was nothing short of romantic and relaxing. The lodge’s charm and the picturesque views made for a perfect backdrop to our special getaway. Dining under the stars with exquisitely prepared local cuisine was a highlight, along with the private vineyard tour arranged by our gracious hosts. Karikari Lodge is truly a lovers’ paradise. We are grateful for the memories and cannot wait to return!
