About us
Karikari
Lodge has three bedrooms and can sleep up to six people. The self-contained
Pohutukawa Cabin can sleep two people and has its own kitchen, dining area
and bathroom. They are on a private fenced section and are fully wheelchair
accessible.
All bedding and linen is supplied and there is a washing machine. There
is a full kitchen and living/dining room in the main lodge with television
and DVD player, covered barbeque area (with BBQ) and upper deck and a fish-filleting
table.
Lodge facilities include a fully wheelchair accessible toilet and shower.
The lodge is fully furnished and self-contained. The master bedroom has
a queen-size bed, the family bedroom has a queen-size bed and can accommodate
a very comfortable fold down bed when needed. The single bedroom has a king
single bed.
The Pohutukawa Cabin is a fully-furnished self-contained, open plan cabin
with a walk around bathroom and toilet, queen-size bed, kitchenette, micro
stove, microwave, TV,DVD, dining room table, awesome decking, undercover
BBQ with gas supplied.
While staying at Karikari Lodge and the Pohutukawa Cabin, you will have
free use of kayaks, boogie boards, surf boards and stand-up paddle boards
(SUPs). However, you will need to bring your own beach towels.
The free SUPs and kayaks are not available on the morning of guests' check
out. If guests staying at Karikari Lodge need us to take SUPs and kayaks
to the beach, this is done between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
Free WiFi available.
The house and cabin are totally non-smoking and we regret that we are unable
to accommodate pets.
Rates
Main Lodge
For up to six persons: NZ$ 200.00 per night.
Backpacker rates : NZ$ 50.00 per night for the single bedroom with king
bed and NZ$ 85.00 per double room with a queen bed per night (single or
double occupancy). Continental breakfast is provided.
For a group booking, a minimum stay of two nights is required.
Pohutukawa Cabin
$130.00 per night for one or two people. Continental breakfast is provided.
Stay 5 nights and receive a continental breakfast and you will also receive
a locally-sourced breakfast pack consisting of bacon, eggs and a bottle
of bubbly, cheese and crackers. Stay 2 or 3 nights and receive continental
breakfast, bacon and eggs.
George - self-contained caravan
George is available for one person only. NZ$50 per night. Continental breakfast
is provided.
All prices are inclusive of GST.
Please contact us for availability. In low season,
rates and long stay can be the subject of negotiation.
We accept payment by Mastercard and Visa credit cards and by Visa debit
cards.
Booking Terms and Conditions
Deposits:
After we have advised you that Karikari Lodge is available, a deposit
of one third of the total cost (or full payment) is required. The deposit
may be paid by NZ dollar cheque or by transfer to our bank account. We are
unable to accept credit card payments.
Cancellation:
As a small property, cancellations do heavily impact on us and if we are
not able to replace cancelled bookings, any deposit will be forfeited. Any
refund of deposit will be in New Zealand dollars.
Balance of payment
The balance of payment may be paid on arrival by cash or NZ dollar cheque.
The owners of Karikari Lodge accept no responsibility for loss or damage
to personal property while on the Karikari Lodge property.
